Pick A Piper, Ace Kinkaid, A.S.A. & Scott Boudreau - Governors Pub - Sydney
Live Music
About Pick a Piper
A collective featuring Brad Weber of Caribou, Angus Fraser of Tenth of May, Dan Roberts ex-Winter Equinox and Clint Scrivener. The band are known for their sweaty, energetic live shows, where audience members become a part of the band by the time the set has finished.
“A fusion of styles can be a tough thing to pull off effectively, yet Pick A Piper manages to push the realm of both splendor and mayhem like some sonic rite of passage. A combination of neo-psychedelic dream-pop and tribal-fueled double-drumming explodes into a torrent of live-energy where an Afro-Brazilian celebration meets pop-loving hearts.”
- Lonely Vagabond
"Like a micro-chipped poncho, Pick A Piper play tribal psychedelic rock with a deliciously biting electronic component and a serious dose of percussion. Ecstatically charged yet almost trance-inducing, PAP are a vodka-redbull with none of the edge, all of the euphoria and zero unpleasant aftertaste."

Think of it as being reunited with yourself, your body, your breath. Admittedly it's not your typical party but Facebook made me do it!
Two new Kripalu Yoga class sessions beginning the week of January 23rd. These eight week sessions will focus on beginning anew: starting yoga for the first time or renewing and supporting your commitment to your practice. These "all levels" classes will:
- stretch and strengthen muscles and improve flexibility
- release tension as well as de-stress and refresh the body
- cultivate concentration, support mental clarity and confidence
- encourage self-acceptance
- honour inner wisdom and invite a deep sense of peace
No previous yoga experience required - if you have a body you can do yoga! These classes will provide a solid foundation for beginners while also providing support and challenge to more seasoned yoga practitioners.

Garrett Mason - Shindigs Pub - Port Hawkesbury
Live Music
Garrett Mason is a true bluesman at heart. We are excited to have him perform @ Shindigs...Tickets are available @ the pub for $20 each.
Garrett was raised in Truro, Nova Scotia by his mother Pam, and father, veteran Canadian Bluesman Dutch Mason. His quest to become a blues musician started at a very early age; being surrounded by blues music.
Garrett would be the first to tell you that riding the coat tails of others won’t take you very far in this business, but striving to be truly original is the secret to longevity and lasting success. Garrett launched his debut CD I’m Just a Man at the 2004 Harvest Jazz and Blues festival in Fredericton, NB to a sold out crowd.
This debut CD features Garrett’s talent for strong original songs, a voice that is reminiscent of a veteran performer and his extraordinary aptitude for playing electric guitar. Garrett’s original talent was awarded in 2005 when he received a Juno for Best Blues Album.
Garrett Mason is poised to be one of the brightest stars to emerge…

- stretch and strengthen muscles and improve flexibility
- release tension as well as de-stress and refresh the body
- cultivate concentration, support mental clarity and confidence
- encourage self-acceptance
- honour inner wisdom and invite a deep sense of peace
No previous yoga experience required - if you have a body you can do yoga! These classes will provide a solid foundation for beginners while also providing support and challenge to more seasoned yoga practitioners.
