Heritage Family Day-Game Extravaganza

Do you know about cat's eyes and shooters? Join us for an afternoon of old fashioned fun at The Heritage Society. Step back in time to try your skill at some of the great games that have entertained generations of families before the days of television and video systems. Visit Game Night! exhibit in the Museum Gallery where you can check out games from the late 19th to mid 20th century including board games, blocks, puzzles and card games. Heritage Family Days are made possible by a generous grant from the John P. McGovern Foundation. Community Health and Safety Day

Come out for a day of family fun! Help us promote ways to keep your family safe and knowledgeable about emergency situations. Activities will include CPR classes, first aid classes, cancer prevention information, an epilepsy team and more. Fun for all ages will be provided including a bouncy house for kids, a visit from the local fire and police departments, the opportunity to meet the Houston Rockets’ Clutch, as well as a chance to win prizes such as game tickets from the Houston Aeros. "Live to the Extreme" Children's Health and Activity Fair

Summary: Beatrice Mayes Institute Charter School's School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) for the past 4 years host a children's health fair. This is a community wide event which focuses on a multitude of children's health concerns. We have had over 100 vendors participate through out the four years.
