Ride 4 a Reason

Hi, my name is Melanie Mikusa and I am the event director for an exciting endurance bike ride in Morganton, NC. We are hosting the Ride4aReason 24- hour bike ride to raise money and awareness for children with developmental disabilities. We would appreciate your support by spreading the word to local riders of all ages and abilities. Our ride will be held on a 1.3 mile closed loop on the campus of J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. Many area riders come here to train and hold speed workouts, as it is gently rolling and extremely safe. During the 24-hour event, the course will be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles and staff cars. We’ve had a great response from sponsors so riders will walk away with not only the satisfaction of helping an incredible cause but with some great schwag as well. Check out our website www.ride4reason.org if you haven any questions or want to register, just give me a call. 278 km (P.E. Island, Canada) Biking for Breakfast Challenge

Picturesque Prince Edward Island, Canada, is the home for the fourth annual Biking for Breakfast Challenge is taking place on August 2, 2008. All money raised to support Breakfast Programs all across P.E.I. You can choose between bicycling the entire tip-to-tip across P.E.I. in one day (278 km) or select any number of partial or custom courses. With support vehicles to carry your gear (or, at times, yourself), transportation to and from the event, and an incredible province in the background . . . what more could you ask. You can also grab a few of your friends or co-workers and form a team. The options are limitless; the challenge is yours; and the benefit is to our children and our communities across this province. Currently 35 schools have a breakfast program and the goal of BFBC is for all 73 Island schools to have a program running by 2020. Saturday, August 2, 2008. Picturesque Prince Edward Island, Canada.
