US ACOE Public Meeting regarding Mantatee Protection System at Moore Haven Locks
Public meeting to discuss installation of the Manatee Protection System (MPS) at the Moore Haven Lock on the Okeechobee Waterway. Work is tenatively scheduled to begin April 2, 2012, when traffic conditions and water levels are low, and will take approximately 2 months to complete. During this time the lock will be temporarily closed.
An Open House will be held at 6:00 pm, followed by a formal presentation at 6:30 pm.
