He took photographs, made sketches and returned home to his studio to create a new series of paintings. The Bequest: Ernest E. Poole and the AGA Collection

In 1975, the Ernest E. Poole Foundation donated 90 art works to the Edmonton Art Gallery, now known as the Art Gallery of Alberta. This exhibition features key works from the 1975 donation and looks at how this bequest has impacted not only the AGA, but how it has also shaped the discourse of Canadian art history.
