Dog Days of Summer pet food drive at Agave Southwestern Grill and Tequila Bar

Angelina’s Ristorante and Agave Southwestern Grill and Tequila Bar are once again responding to the needs of Southwest Florida’s canines during Dog Days of Summer, every Wednesday from June 5 through August 28.
Angelina’s Ristorante, Southwest Florida’s premier Italian dining experience, will donate a percentage of all sales to support Lee County Domestic Animal Services’ Community Pet Pantry. Agave Southwestern Grill and Tequila Bar, featuring a contemporary Southwestern menu, will donate a percentage of all sales to support The Humane Society Naples.
Angelina’s and Agave are encouraging the support of locally owned businesses and partnering with Discount Pets & Supplies in this effort, while lending a helping hand to a vitally important service in Lee and Collier counties. Discount Pets & Supplies, for the third consecutive year, is matching the donations pound for pound in dog food.

Artistic Director Joseph Caulkins founded Vocal Artistry in 2010. They will be singing Gwyneth Walkers Alpha and Omega. The Alpha and Omega songs were created to celebrate the Christmas spirit. They are based on traditional Christmas carols, with the intent of breathing new, fresh life into the beloved hymns. Ladies, gather your dresses! It’s time for Sanibel-Captiva’s annual “Love That Dress!” collection party to take place on Tuesday, June 19 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in support of PACE Center for Girls of Lee County. The Royal Shell Companies will partner once again with The Prawnbroker Group at this year’s new location, The Village Shops, at 2340 Periwinkle Way. Admission is $5 along with one or more new or gently used dress.
In air-conditioned comfort, party hosts will collect dress donations in exchange for a dining certificate to Matazluna, wine and hors d’oeuvres. Last year’s popular prize drawing will return with tickets selling for five for $20 or $5 each. Everyone is encouraged to continue the merriment at Matzaluna where 15% of dinner tabs will benefit PACE.
The event is open to the public, and off-island residents are welcome. “Our goal is to collect as many dresses, shoes, handbags and accessories as possible,” explains Barb Harrington of Royal Shell. All donations will be resold at the “Love That Dress!”…

Ostego Bay Gold Tournament

There will be an Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center Golf Tournament at Fort Myers Beach Golf Club on Saturday, June 22. The 8:30 a.m. shotgun start will involve golf, prizes, raffles and lunch at Bonita Bill's Waterfront Cafe. The cost is $55 per player.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization.

They are based on traditional Christmas carols, with the intent of breathing new, fresh life into the beloved hymns. Seminole Casino Immokalee will host a special charity slot tournament to benefit the Partners for Breast Cancer Care on Saturday, June 29 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. This tournament is open to all Player’s Club members and new members.
