Volunteer Academy

Education The Garden City Police Department is proud to announce its first annual Volunteer Academy. The purpose of this Academy is to educate citizens on some of the many topics existing within law enforcement. Topics to be discussed are as follows: identity theft, code enforcement, traffic stops, radio training, EVOC courses, suspicious circumstances, CERT training, crime scenes, and drugs, just to name a few. This Academy is free of charge to any and all citizens of the Treasure Valley. Participants do have the option to become Garden City Police Volunteers immediately following the completion of this Academy; however, this is not a requirement to participate in this class. Education Meridian offers a unique Public Safety Academy as we combine both Fire and Police classes.
