Wii Wednesdays

Get your Wii on at the Quincy Public Library afternoon gaming program. Teens are invited to come and duke it out for the title of Wii bowler, tennis pro, dance queen and other Wii accolades. Every Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. the Wii cart will be set up in the Puppet Theatre. After a hectic day at school, teens can take some time out to relax, gather with friends, share a snack play games or do their homework or beat their BFF at Super Mario 2, Kirby or Just Dance 2,3 or 4. Teens can also enjoy a D & D game, Minecraft or do a craft at our craft table. So tap into your inner star and grab your controllers as you get down to the library for some gaming fun! DivorceCare Seminars

DivorceCare, a special help seminar and support group for people experiencing divorce and separation, will be held on Wednesday evenings at First Christian Church, beginning January 7, 2015. The cost is $25 and scholarships are available. DivorceCare features nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Seminar sessions include "Facing My Anger," "Facing My Loneliness," "New Relationships," "KidCare" and "Forgiveness." Team Sydney Benefit

Sydney Jean Mead was diagnosed with recurrent acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), on November 7, 2014. She was initially diagnosed at age 3 and in remission for approximately 7 years prior to suddenly feeling fatigued and ill in early November. Sydney is 11 years old and is a 5th grade student at Highland Elementary School in Ewing, MO. Help us support Sydney and her family because: Friends Don't Let Friends Fight Cancer Alone! MMMWBS's Annual Blue Note Open

The Mid-Mississippi Muddy Water Blues Society is hosting the 2014 Blue Note Open Indoor Golf Event. The start and finish point is the Casino Starlite. Registration opens shortly after Noon, and to qualify your team to be in the drawing to win one of three cash prizes, you need to have completed the minimum of Nine Holes Scored, and turn in your form before the 6:30pm cutoff at The Starlite. Teams of 4 will tour 9 Quincy establishments and play a hold of putt-putt at each place. Scorekeepers will be stationed at each site. At 6:45, prizes will be awarded to thre qualifying teams and the best Team Golf costume will be named! Cost is $50 per team of 4 individual players. A designated driver per team is required! The Women’s Ministries of The Salvation Army will offer a “Life with Spice: Surviving Breast Cancer” group once a month at the Kroc Center as a celebration of life after breast cancer.
