Girls aged 8 and up are invited to join Molly and Emily, two adventurous young ladies living in the United States during World War II for a week of food and crafts from the 1940's. Tours of the Historic Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion

Tours of the Historic Newcomb-Stillwell Mansion. Travel back in time to the Victorian era as you wander through the restored first floor. Second floor exhibits feature local history and our newest exhibit: Beauty in Nature. Children and adults alike will love the third floor with displays of dinosaurs and local wildlife and a Native American exhibit with special activities for children, including costumes to try on and a wickiup to explore. Farmer's Market

A Farmers' Market will be held every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. through October at the Hamilton City Park. Vendors are welcome to set up in the Hamilton City Park. Get your Wii on at the Quincy Public Library afternoon gaming program. Teens are invited to come and duke it out for the title of Wii bowler, tennis pro, dance queen and other Wii accolades. The Great River Tiger Chapter of the MU Alumni Association is sponsoring a Back to School Tailgate party this summer for MU students, Mizzou Alumni and friends. Lunch in the Park with the Mayor

The 2014 Lunch in the Park with the Mayor is set for July 29th from 12-1 p.m. in Washington Park, 5th and Maine Street.  This is the second in a series of three summer lunches that will be scheduled during 2014.  The third lunch is tentatively scheduled for August 26th, however, this date is subject to change. Donnellson Vacation Bible School

The Donnellson Churches would like to invited everyone to attend The Workshop of Wonders: Vacation Bible School 2014. Walking Tour of Dicks Brewery Area and Dick Family Homes

The Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County will continue hosting a series of walking tours with the Saturday, August 2 that will feature Dicks Brewery and the Dick family homes. Both tours will begin at 10 a.m. at the Historical Society’s Visitors Center, 425 South 12th Street. The tours are $6 for members of the HSQAC and $10 for non members. Membership applications will be available for those wishing to join that day. Those going on the tours are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and have the ability to climb stairs and walk at least one mile. Many times home owners will invite tourgoers to come inside and see their home. Children are welcome and are charged the same as adults. Teutopolis Monastery Museum Tours

Visitors can view more than 30 rooms of the Teutopolis Monastery Museum from 12:30 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. It is recommended that you come early to see the many unique and interesting articles on display. 37th annual Greenely Research Center Field Day

The 37th Annual Greenley Research Center Field Day will offer tours that highlight current, on-going, producer-driven, value-added crop, beef & forage production research conducted by the University of Missouri faculty and collaborators. Farmer's Market

A Farmers' Market will be held every Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. through October at the Hamilton City Park. Vendors are welcome to set up in the Hamilton City Park. Wii Wednesdays

Get your Wii on at the Quincy Public Library afternoon gaming program. Teens are invited to come and duke it out for the title of Wii bowler, tennis pro, dance queen and other Wii accolades. Orange Concert

Blues in the District - Marquise Knox - Free Admission

Born in 1991 St. Louis Mo, Marquise hails from a musical family deeply entrenched in the Blues. He learned how to play guitar from his grandmother Lillie whose family were sharecroppers and whose great, great grandparents were slaves. He also played with his uncle Clifford, who was a major influence in Marquise's life. For Marquise, Blues is his heritage and a way of life. He spent his early teenage years in St. Louis mentoring under the late great Blues legend, N.E.A. Heritage Fellowship recipient and Grammy Award winner Henry James Townsend. Marquise's talents have earned him performing rights with some of America's most notable blues performers such as blues legend and Grammy Award winners B.B. King, Pinetop Perkins and David "Honeyboy" Edwards (the latter two also NEA Heritage Fellows).
