William Michael Morgan at Jefferson City Jaycees Fair

A fresh young talent whose music is steeped in country music tradition, William Michael Morgan is a singer and songwriter who was too young to order a beer when he made his first steps toward Nashville stardom. Morgan was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 13, 1993. His parents enjoyed classic country music, and by the time he was six, Morgan was a Marty Robbins fan, fascinated with a song he'd heard around the house. By the time he was nine, Morgan had his first guitar, and spent much of his free time teaching himself to play songs by Keith Whitley and Mark Chesnutt, sometimes checking out instructional videos online when he had trouble figuring out licks. When Morgan was 12, inspired by seeing a Dierks Bentley concert, the youngster began playing out in public, and soon formed a band with local pickers -- most old enough to be his father -- that performed in Vicksburg and the surrounding area on weekends. In 2006, 13-year-old Morgan and his band independently released an album, Always Country, and he wor… City: Jefferson City. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM. The LACS at Jefferson City Jaycees Fair

“People see stuff that is already there and ask why I dream stuff that never was and ask why not.” This saying describes the LACS, they saw what was already there, had big dreams to be there, and asked the music industry why not? Their hick hop and southern rock sound is stronger than the moonshine they drink. The LACS which is the famous short abbreviation of the Loud Ass Crackers are from the sandy dirt roads of Baxley, Georgia. A South Georgia town more famous for its sawmills and turpentine stills than for having a successful southern rap group. The LACS consist of hip hop artist Clay “Uncle Snap” Sharpe and lead vocalist / guitarist Brian “ Rooster” King. With a blue collar background they have worked shutdowns with the union and framed many a house to earn enough money keep their music dreams alive. The LACS' latest album is still in the works but already has created a buzz with its contributions from Average Joe recording artist Colt Ford on the song “Shindig” and allowing the LACS the privilege of per… City: Jefferson City.
