Snow Geese Migration at Freezeout Lake
Freezeout Lake is Montana’s primary snow goose staging area, a place where as many as 300,000 snow geese and 10,000 tundra swans gather and rest before flying onward. In a series of shorter flights, the geese make their way to nesting grounds on the wind swept extreme northwest arctic coast of Canada. The snow geese usually reach Freezeout in early March, where they rest up from a nearly 1,000 mile flight from California.
Spend an inspiring day watching thousands of migrating snow geese ( and other birds) at Freezeout Lake. Trip will be hosted by snow goose expert and FWP volunteer Mike Schwitters.
Cost $30 MNHC members, $40 non-members.

Cirque Mechanics: Birdhouse Factory
406-363-7946 ext. 111
www.bitterrootperformingarts.org
Inspired in part by Diego Rivera's Detroit Industry Murals, the outrageous illustrations of Rube Goldberg, and by Charlie Chaplin's film "Modern Times," Cirque Mechanics' show brings together circus acrobatics and early 20th century machines to tell a story of laughter, love, flight, loss and ... birdhouses. Brought to life by director Chris Lashua, his inventive machines, an original score, stunning choreography, and the talent of its international cast (former members of Cirque du Soleil, Pickle Family Circus, and the Moscow Circus), "Birdhouse Factory" is a family-friendly, Broadway-style theatre spectacle.

Teen Open Studio Night
Teen Open Studio Nights is back, and ready for another great year!
Each Teen Open Studio Night offers participants the chance to interact with, and learn from, a young, dynamic, professional artist. Teen Open Studio Nights are not art classes: they are a place to experiment and explore your own creativity and ideas. They are a place to bounce your thoughts about art off of other young people. They are a place to develop your own aesthetic, outside of classroom instruction. And best of all, Teen Open Studio Nights are FREE! Call Linden at 406.728.0447 fore more information. Pre-registration is not required.
