Pajama Game concerns the battle over a 7.5 cent raise between management and labor at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory. Amidst the conflict, a romance ensues between the new superintendent, Sid, and the leader of the Union Grievance Committee, Babe. Not surprisingly, their romance is all the more difficult given their opposing sides in the labor dispute. Eventually, management agrees to the raise, and peace reigns in the factory as well as in Sid and Babe's love life.

Opening act Cold Chocolate is a young Old Timey band from the Boston area which includes Folk Project member Kirsten Lamb (bass), along with Ethan Robbins (guitar), James McIver (banjo), and Ariel Bernstein (drums). They put 3-part vocal harmony to old fiddle tunes, blues, and some original music in the traditional style.

Unfortunately, Oscar discovers Charity's real profession and backs out of the marriage. Nevertheless, Charity continues to remain hopeful that good things will happen in her life.

‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ is the Broadway adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic book. The story revolves around Tom Sawyer, a fourteen-year-old boy growing up in America’s heartland. Along the way, Tom and his friend, Huckleberry Finn, are witness to a murder at the hands of the evil villain, Injun Joe. Injun Joe tries to pin the crime on the town vagrant, Muff Potter. At the trial, Tom testifies against Injun Joe but Joe manages to escape. Years later, Injun Joe returns and tries to kill Tom. However, Tom, Huckleberry and Becky manage to defeat Joe and in the process, they discover Murrell’s Gold – a vast treasure of gold coins!

Dog sculptures will line the streets for Boonton's outdoor art installation! The dogs have been decorated in a variety of fun and clever concepts. Businesses will be open until 9:00pm and there will be other events; visitors can shop, dine and wander the stores and galleries. Many of the galleries and shops will provide refreshments for the enjoyment of patrons. Dogs will remain on display throughout the summer, then be removed in September and readied for a charity auction in October.

Speakeasy Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of it's summer group exhibit, "Sound & Vision". Music and sound has always coexisted with and been a source of inspiration for the visual arts. The "Sound & Vision" exhibit will explore this theme.
Speakeasy Art Gallery's curators, Paul and Kristy Jach, are collaborating with guest co-curator Sal Canzonieri of the band Electric Frankenstein for this exhibit. Sal Canzonieri has produced and published two books comprised of art that had been created for Electric Frankenstein. The works featured in these books include art from the likes of such underground art legends as Derek Hess, Coop and Frank Kozik.
The curators have assembled an impressive line up of artists. The exhibit will feature works by some of Speakeasy Art Gallery's past and future solo exhibitors in addition to artists straight from the pages of Sal Canzonieri's books. Sound & Visio…

The Mt. Hope Tract contains some of the richest veins of iron ore and most productive mines in New Jersey. In 1866 a railroad was chartered to bring ore from these mines to the Morris Canal and later to a connection with the Morris & Essex Railroad at Wharton. This walk starts at Mt Hope, with a tour of the work-in-progress preservation of the Ford Faesch House, and then follows the route of the railroad into the Mt. Hope Historical Park. On Sunday June 16th Macculloch Hall Historical Museum welcomes author and historian William B. Styple for a Father’s Day presentation about artist James E. Kelly. Shortly after the Civil War Irish-American sculptor James Edward Kelly (1855-1933) made bronze portraits of over 40 Union Army generals. While the heroes of the war sat for Kelly, the artist interviewed them with intimate questions about the high points of their military careers, and the minute details of their notable battles. During Kelly’s series of interviews he spent time with those who personally knew Abraham Lincoln. Kelly recorded over 60 eyewitness accounts, a never-before-published oral history of the 16th President, which Kelly carefully preserved in his notebooks; detailing Lincoln's physical appearance, personality, and qualities as a statesman during a dark time of national crisis. The Children’s Literature Association named E. B. White’s novel “the best American children’s book of the past two hundred years,” and Joseph Robinette has created a play that captures this work in a thrilling theatrical presentation.
All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; the Zuckerman family; the Arables; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be “a true friend and a good writer.”

Venture back to the big easy with the musical group Paragon Ragtime Orchestra on the Centenary Stage July 27th at 8 pm. The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra is the world's only year-round, professional ensemble re-creating "America's Original Music" - the syncopated sounds of early musical theater, silent cinema, and vintage dance. Since 1989 the Walt Disney Company has relied on the Orchestra's recordings for the outdoor theme music heard at Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland, Disney World, and Disneyland Paris; the PRO strengthened its international following during its extended engagement as a U.S. Ambassador of Goodwill at the 1992 World's Universal Exposition in Seville, Spain.
Over the years the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra has been heard on the soundtracks of several motion pictures and television programs. The Orchestra's audio and video recordings have been widely praised, and considered instrumental in rekindling interest in America's rich traditions of theater, cinema, and dance orchestra music.
