EXHIBITION: State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda

Submitted $12 adults, $10 seniors (60+) & students (12+), $5 youth (ages 5-11) “Propaganda is a truly terrible weapon in the hands of an expert,” wrote Adolf Hitler in 1924. During the subsequent two decades, Nazi leaders showed the word bold new ways to use this tool. In examining how the Nazis manipulated mass communications in their quest to acquire power, State of Deception: The Power of Nazi Propaganda challenges museum-goers to think critically about the messages they encounter today. Breath of Life Benefit

Submitted ABOUT BREATH OF LIFE The Breath of Life benefit was organized by the Burket family of Garfield Heights. In late August 2014, Don Burket was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The cancer has since metastasized to his brain. After hearing his prognosis, Don decided to fight and has traveled to hospitals in Houston, Pittsburgh, and soon New York for radiation, chemotherapy, and alternative treatments. Breath of Life was organized to raise funds to help assist Don with his medical and travel expenses. Saturday Nights

Submitted Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm. We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks. It definitely is a very laid back atmosphere with some darker lighting and stage lighting. Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives. We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media. We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities. Submitted Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm. We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks. Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives. We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media. We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities. Cleveland ConCoction 2015

Submitted Cleveland ConCoction is northeast Ohio’s fan-run, volunteer-run convention for all things Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Gaming, Filk and more multi-genre event. Maple Madness Tour

Submitted During this family-friendly event, visitors will enjoy horse-drawn wagons rides, glimpse the acres of maple trees tapped for sap collection, and experience the state-of-the-art sap evaporator on guided tours of the sugar house before enjoying a free pancake breakfast featuring Bissell Maple Farm’s own maple syrup. Local bluegrass musicians will add a lively backdrop to the sweet and tasty fun. This unique event gives visitors a chance to learn first-hand the process of how pure maple syrup is made, from tree to table. Saturday Nights

Submitted Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm. We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks. It definitely is a very laid back atmosphere with some darker lighting and stage lighting. Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives. We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media. We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities. St. Patrick's Day Kids Overnight

Submitted Lake County YMCA East End is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Overnight for kids, ages 6-12 from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday morning, March 15. “The Youth Overnight is an excellent way for kids to build new friendships, have fun and enjoy swimming and gym activities at the Y. It’s also a nice break for parents that want a quite night at home or just a chance to go out,” said Greg Church, program director at the Lake County East End Y. The St. Patrick’s Day Overnight is open to all children, ages 6-12 that want to have a fun night of activities with friends. Children are recommended to bring swim gear. House Concerts with Ed Caner
