Thursday June 20th is an overnight campout beginning at 6pm and ending Friday morning at 8am.
Would you like an up-close and personal encounter with the creepy crawly critters that are moving around the nature center? Join us for a weeklong adventure discovering and investigating the flying, crawling, and slithering creatures that call ONC home. Become a nature spy as we dig through pond muck and search fields high and low for snakes, lizards, insects, spiders and more. Play games and enjoy activities that help us understand and appreciate the creepy crawly critters all around us.

The event is open to everyone. There is no minimum age for the nighttime trail run. No qualifying is required....other than a gut-check at the start line. You will need a headlamp.
Race Course:
Run, walk or crawl! This is a nighttime event that will put your inner adventurous self to the test!
The course runs through trees, over obstacles, through water, sand, dirt and mud. Combine that with dark and headlamps....you've got yourself a big serving of Awesome-ness!
This 5K - ish course is all off-road. The course will be clearly marked with directional glow sticks and possibly a little blood from the duathlon :-) KIDDING ... about the glowsticks:-)

Hurt in the Dirt - Offroad Duathlon

This event is open to everyone over the age of 12. No qualifying is required.
Race Course: Run – Bike – Run – Bike
The course runs through trees, over obstacles, through water, sand, dirt and mud.
The run course is 2 miles and the bike course is 5 miles. You will complete two laps on each discipline. When the pain sets in, you will have run approximately 6.2 miles and biked 20 miles. The run course will be marked in Red and the bike course will be marked in Blue.
Recommended/Required Equipment:
*Clothing - Anything you are willing to get wet, muddy, blood-stained or torn to shreds!
*Bike - Mountain bikes are recommended, but cyclo-cross bikes are permitted. There are areas of the course that will favor each type of bike.
