Capital City Farmers Market

Student Services For more than 37 years, the Capital City Farmers Market has been bringing local producers and customers from near and far together to create this eclectic community event. Over 50 vendors gather each Saturday, from May through October, to sell locally grown and made products, unique to Vermont and astounding in quality. The market is held in a large parking area, shaded by trees and bordered by the Winooski River, where there is plenty of room to mill about and enjoy the plentiful market offerings. Live music every week and special events throughout the season make the market a gathering place for Central Vermont residents. Fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, specialty cheeses, artisan bread, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, honey and maple syrup…the list goes on and on.  Join us and see how much Vermont has to offer! Volunteer for Epilepsy Walk BBQ

Student Services Epilsepsy Foundation of VT is looking for 4-8 NECI student volunteers to help support their BBQ for participants of the Epilepsy Walk.  Where:  Oakledge Park, Burlington, VT When:  Sunday, May 31st from 9 am to 2 pm Attire:  Clean clothes, apron and hat. This is a fun volunteer opportunity!  Students who are eligible to receive Federal Work Study (FWS) funds can be hired to earn $10/hr and earn community service at the same time!  Please see Jen Livingston for details or email Jennifer.livingston@neci.edu to sign up. PLAN Plan for everything and count on nothing!  You might be treated to ice cream at Ben at Jerry’s  and a swimming hole excursion or you might be slaughtering chickens at a local farm (no joke).  Pack a     survivor bag and accept the challenge for the unexpected! WIN The team with the highest CASH CAB  score will win the cash pot equivalent ( CASH POT=TAXI Fares/$150 if van is full for each trip) to be used towards bowling, movies, or  a meal out.  RULES Each player pays $5 Taxi Fare to save a seat on the Silver Bullet .  Fares go towards the cash pot. Vermont Culinary Classic Golf Tournament

Academic Calendar The largest fundraiser for the NECI Scholarship Fund, golfers and sponsors are needed to join us at VT CC in Waterbury. All profits will go to benefit NECI students by bridging the financial gap for them to pursue their culinary goals. Food carts will be prowling the grounds to keep participants fed, prizes will be awarded for longest ball and other accolades, and to finish off the afternoon we will have a silent auction! Capital City Farmers Market

Student Services For more than 37 years, the Capital City Farmers Market has been bringing local producers and customers from near and far together to create this eclectic community event. Over 50 vendors gather each Saturday, from May through October, to sell locally grown and made products, unique to Vermont and astounding in quality. The market is held in a large parking area, shaded by trees and bordered by the Winooski River, where there is plenty of room to mill about and enjoy the plentiful market offerings. Live music every week and special events throughout the season make the market a gathering place for Central Vermont residents. Fresh vegetables and fruits, quality meats, specialty cheeses, artisan bread, baked goods, ethnic foods, herbs, plants, flowers, arts and crafts, honey and maple syrup…the list goes on and on.  Join us and see how much Vermont has to offer!
