Vandana Shiva International GMO Activist Speaks

Student Services Vandana Shiva, the international GMO activist from India, is coming to Vermont to speak in support of our GMO labeling law. She will speak in Burlington at Contois Auditorium on Sun. Nov. 2, 4-6PM and again on Mon. Nov. 3 at 5:00PM at the Chase Center at Vermont Law School in South Royalton. These events are both free and open to the public. At the Burlington event contributions will be welcomed in support of the VT Right to Know GMOs Coalition's on-going work to implement and defend our labeling law. Culinary Classic

Twelve teams from high schools across the state of Vermont compete in the 7th annual Culinary Classic! Having practiced for months, these teams will create and present three dishes to a panel of judges to determine who will go home with scholarship money and prizes! Our first year at City Hall, this will be an incredible venue to witness the next generation of culinary professionals! Friday, November 14, 2014, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. French Master Chef Dinner: Claude Godard

On November 15, New England Culinary Institute and NECI on Main are proud to host a dinner with French Master Chef Claude Godard featuring cuisine from Burgundy. In addition to being the Vice President of the North American chapter of the Maître Cuisiniers de France,  Chef Godard owns two restaurants in New York City, Madison Bistro and Jeanne & Gaston. This traditional menu includes head cheese (jambon persille), escargot, and beef two ways. Each course will be carefully paired with a wine from the region. Seating is limited.
