Boyden Valley Winery & Spirits Harvest Festival

Student Services Families make the most of the coming fall with tractor hayrides, grape-stomping contests, live music, wine tastings and offerings from food vendors. Proceeds benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta. Food Preservation Party

Student Services From kefir and kombucha to sourdough and sauerkraut, foodies join the Swap Sisters for an afternoon of workshops, tasting and swapping. A potluck rounds out the afternoon. Sun. Serve Soup at the Berlin School Garden Forum

Student Services In celebration of a garden in every school, NECI will be serving up soup and bread at this forum.  The event is from 4 to 6 pm and we are looking for 2 student volunteers to pick-up, transport and serve the food. Wedding Cake Presentation

On Friday, our Baking and Pastry students will unveil their final project of the term: wedding cakes! These cakes represent countless hours of training and testing, decorating and planning. This event is open to the public who are encouraged to bring their questions and their palates to test the students' knowledge and creativity. Formal attire is NOT required! Preserving the Season: Apples

In this class, Chef Michelle Buswell will cover all the bases! The chef will start off with an apple tasting , comparing the flavors and uses of different types of apples and cover the basics of canning. For the hands-on portion, the class will make an apple chutney, apple twitchell, and an apple filling for the upcoming holidays. The class beings at 9:00 AM at La Brioche and costs $60. Bordeux Wine Tasting

Student Services For the sixth consecutive year, NECI is one of only four culinary schools Dewey Markham has selected to visit for an elite presentation and tasting of wines from the Médoc region of Bordeaux. The formal lecture will consist of instruction with tastings of five wines. Twelve teams from high schools across the state of Vermont compete in the 7th annual Culinary Classic! Having practiced for months, these teams will create and present three dishes to a panel of judges to determine who will go home with scholarship money and prizes!
