The Woodbury Calais Food Shelf is looking for 1 or 2 students to provide a hands on demonstration as part of a Chef's Share initiative. As described below, "You will offer samples and copies of healthful, home-cooked recipes that can be prepared using items available at the food shelf so that visitors will be empowered to make them at home. As part of this initiative, you can have a significant influence on improving the health and well-being of people most at-risk for hunger and malnutrition in your own community."

New England Culinary Institute Serves Up Two Courses: Golf and Great Food!
100% of net proceeds will provide scholarships to deserving New England Culinary Institute students.
On Friday, June 21, 2013, friends of New England Culinary Institute will gather at Basin Harbor Club to support NECI Scholarship Fund in the Vermont Culinary Golf Classic. The tournament will be held in a scramble format with a shotgun start. The tournament is limited to 120 players. The invitation list includes major Vermont corporations, NECI suppliers, vendors, long-time friends and supporters.

Friday Dinners: Begin Prep at 9am or whatever time is needed to get ready, meal served 5pm-7pm, clean up til 8pm
Wednesdays Breakfast prep at 8:30am breakfast served at 9:30 – 11am, clean up done by 11:30.
What tasks will the student volunteers be performing? All prep work, cooking and cleaning, associated with cooking dinners and breakfasts for 30-60 people.

What you would do…
Stop by, make a snack or small meal for the teens with what you find on the shelves
Have a snack, play a game of pool or Mario cart

Volunteer Opportunity at Woodbury Calais Food Shelf (FWS Eligible)
This volunteer position is eligible for FWS pay at $10/hr.

The Woodbury Calais Food Shelf is looking for 1 or 2 students to provide a hands on demonstration as part of a Chef's Share initiative. As described below, "You will offer samples and copies of healthful, home-cooked recipes that can be prepared using items available at the food shelf so that visitors will be empowered to make them at home. As part of this initiative, you can have a significant influence on improving the health and well-being of people most at-risk for hunger and malnutrition in your own community."
