Fight Gone Good - Fitness Throwdown

CrossFit Bothell is proud to be hosting FIGHT GONE GOOD, a Charity Throwdown for Kids Cancer research. All proceeds will be given to the Ronan Thompson Foundation. DIVISIONS: There are six divisions total: Individual Male Scaled Individual Male RX Individual Female Scaled Individual Female RX Teams (1 female and 1 male) Scaled Teams (1 female and 1 male) RX WODS: The first four WODs for all divisions will be announced ahead of the competition. First Annual Public Servants Appreciation BBQ & Community Safety Event

Marysville Globe The First Annual Public Servants Appreciation BBQ & Community Safety Event at Acacia on September 21st from 11 am to 4 pm is an outreach event to assist with fund raising for the service animals, community awareness, honoring the service members who have passed away, and of course appreciation for our men and women in uniform. We will be serving a free BBQ lunch for all service members catered by Rainin’ Ribs (a wonderful, privately owned restaurant across the street from Acacia). We will be having a special honor for retired Seattle Assistant Chief of Police David Grayson who passed away earlier this year and has been laid to rest at our park. With a focus on safety there will also be a fingerprinting ID booth for kids, a “mug shot” photo booth, and our own Family Alert program. The Northshore Fire Department will also provide a fire truck (Engine 57) from 1:30 to 2:30 pm for kids young and old to observe. The Beauty of Noh: Tomoe + Yoshinaka

The Japan Arts Connection Lab presents a rare opportunity to see authentic Noh, the most traditional of Japan’s classical arts and the world’s longest-running continuous form of theatre, dating back to the 1300s. Munenori Takeda, one of Japan's most talented Noh masters, joined by a full Noh troupe belonging to Japan’s pre-eminent 600-year-old Kanze school, will perform "Tomoe". Local Shellfish Celebration!

Sound Salmon Solutions is hosting a FREE Shellfish Dinner to raise awareness about water quality in the Stillguamish Valley. 2014 Juried Artist Series: It Figures

Allied Arts of Whatcom County’s 2014 Juried Artist Series continues with It Figures, Featuring Victor Flores, Amanda Timmins, Richard Bulman, Frank Frazee, and Helen Dorn. The It Figures exhibit is a collection of two dimensional and three dimensional art focused around the figures and lives of humans. Allied Arts of Whatcom County’s 2014 Juried Artist Series continues with Of Fish & Feathers, featuring work from Ann Marie Cooper, Vikki Jackson, Christina Boyd, and Gary Armstrong. Hopelink Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon

Marysville Globe Green Bay Packers all-time leading receiver, “Dancing with the Stars” champion and New York Times best-selling author Donald Driver will deliver the keynote address at Hopelink’s 19th annual Reaching Out Benefit Luncheon Monday, Oct. 20 at Bellevue’s Meydenbauer Center. The Reaching Out luncheon is the Redmond-based social services agency’s largest fundraising event of the year.
