Gypsy jazz quintet Ranger and the ‘Re-Arrangers’ will perform with guitarist Neil Andersson.
Andersson is one of the Northwest's premier guitarists. In the 1960's, he played with the Northwest rock group, the Fabulous Wailers. In 1986 he was elected to the Northwest Music Awards Hall of Fame, and in the 1990’s he co-founded the seminal Gypsy jazz band Pearl Django. His projects include Malibu Manouche, blending Gypsy jazz and surf music.

Dr. Bernard Amadei will talk about the progress that EWB USA has made since its founding and what its current and future role in creating self-sustainable communities in developing countries, including what changes he would like to see for EWB and what roles corporate America and academic institutions should play.
Dr. Amadei is Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his PhD in 1982 from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Amadei holds the Mortenson Endowed Chair in Global Engineering and served as Faculty Director of the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities from 2009-2012. Bastyr University's 15th Annual Herb and Food Fair
Join Bastyr University at the annual Food and Herb Fair, with this year’s theme being “Everything Old Is New Again”. A free event that brings thousands of visitors to the Kenmore campus, the gardens are blooming and the campus forest buzzing with new life, it's a great time to soak up spring colors and learn about the endless uses of plants. Come hear great speakers, go on guided walks through the Bastyr gardens and surrounding woods, attend workshops and cooking demos, listen to music, and partake in relaxing herbal foot soaks and facials.
The event is free and open to the public. Visitors can also park for free at the Kenmore Park and Ride (at 7346 N.E. Bothell Way) and take the free Bastyr shuttle directly to the Herb and Food Fair. Did you know there is a farm located at the South Treatment Plant in Renton? The farm is lcoated at 1200 Monster Road S.W. Renton, WA 98057. King County has partnered with Seattle University and the Renton Food Bank and started a small farm in your neighborhood. For over a year, this farm has been operated by Seattle University students and the food grown here has been donated to the Renton Food Bank.
We are now offering public work parties for anyone who is interested in helping out on the farm or learning about urban farming. Public work parties start on Sunday, May 5th, and will run every first and third Sunday from 9:30AM- 1PM. All skill levels and youth with parents are welcome. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with King County employees, Seattle University students, and their fellow community members. Allied Arts of Whatcom County kicks off the 2013 Juried Artist Series with On the Edge featuring work from Andy Siebert, Ann Marie Cooper, Chris Shreve, Doug Forrest and Taj Williams. The opening reception will be held during the Downtown Art Walk, Friday, June, 7th from 6pm to 9pm.
On The Edge will be an exhibit of bold, loud colors and patterns in a variety of media all working together in a harmonious display of works that push the envelope. Painting, drawing, and clay are all tools for the expression of the artists.

Great things come in twos! The Market Theater will showcase some of the best and newest comedy and improv duos in the Seattle area!
Make Wednesday your comedy night with something unique and fun! It's Seattle's only improv showcase where pairs of improv comedians take the stage and try to entertain you! You'll find all styles of comedy in this show, from old time vaudevillian to new age stylistic. It's always a fun and very social time! Every Duo night is different at the Market Theater, from themed nights to promotional events, all starring Seattle talent! Visit the lounge and watch for drink specials!

The Beatles may not have been performing their legendary music for nearly 44 years, but it is far from gone from the world music scene.
Imagine "Remembering The Fab Four" – a classy Beatles tribute band – comes to the area for two shows: 7 PM Saturday June 15th and 2 p.m. Sunday, June. 16 both at The Theatre at Mountainview in Auburn/Kent..
The band has been performing the music of the Beatles for more than 20 years, nearly three times as long as the Beatles themselves. Imagine has performed around the world, including at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, the first act to ever perform at the 20,000-seat USANA amphitheater in Salt Lake City and 21 performances at the Shanghai Music Festival in China.
Opening for Imagine will be the local band, The Saltwater Saints, with even more 1960s hit songs.

Did you know there is a farm located at the South Treatment Plant in Renton? The farm is located at 1200 Monster Road S.W. Renton WA 98057. King County has partnered with Seattle University and the Renton Food Bank and started a small farm in your neighborhood. For over a year, this farm has been operated by Seattle University students and the food grown here has been donated to the Renton Food Bank.
We are now offering public work parties for anyone who is interested in helping out on the farm or learning about urban farming. Public work parties start on Sunday, May 5th, and will run every first and third Sunday from 9:30AM- 1PM. All skill levels and youth with parents are welcome. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with King County employees, Seattle University students, and their fellow community members. This is also a great opportunity for local students who need service learning opportunities!

The gallery is known to collectors throughout the region and beyond for discovering exciting emerging talent as well as showcasing nationally acclaimed artists. This year’s show will feature several new works by each of the gallery’s roster of more than 50 artists and will open with a preview reception on Friday, June 7th from 6-8pm and run through July 7th.
