Silverdale Community Christmas Tree Lighting

The 60th annual Silverdale Community Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will be held on Saturday 29 November. This is a fun time for families to get the holiday season started with the arrival of Santa who will light the world’s tallest living and consecutively lit Christmas tree (131 feet, Douglas {Grand} Fir). Activities will start at 1PM and conclude at 6 PM. The Silverdale Library will have materials for kids to make holiday cards starting at1:00 and tractor hay rides, sponsored by Oxford Suites, will be from 2:00 to 4:00 traveling between Oxford Suites and the Silverdale Library. New this year will be the opportunity to have “selfies” with community mascots who will be available from 2:00 to 5:00. Also new this year will be a food and toy drive at the relocated John L. The Sweet Sounds of Christmas

The Everett Chorale will present their annual holiday concert “The Sweet Sounds of Christmas” at the Everett Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 7 at 3 PM. The first half of the concert will feature the music of internationally renowned composer John Rutter who will celebrate his 70th birthday in 2015. His popular “Gloria” for brass ensemble, timpani and organ, will be the major work performed by the 65 voice Chorale. The second half of the concert will feature two local ensembles as guest artists: the Brass Reflections Quintet and the Snohomish County Children’s Choir. "The Nutcracker" presented by Peninsula Dance Theatre

Celebrate your holiday tradition with “The Nutcracker,” as Peninsula Dance Theatre celebrates their 41st season. Peninsula Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker is the longest running Nutcracker in Kitsap County and the only Nutcracker in the County that can be seen with live orchestra. The Peninsula Ballet Orchestra, conducted by Alan Futterman, will accompany the production at the Bremerton High School Performing Arts Center.
