What is FA? Our program of recovery is based on the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous. We make use of AA principles to gain freedom from addictive eating. There are no dues, fees, or weigh-ins at FA meetings. Membership is open to anyone who wants help with food. Does it work? Typically, before joining FA, we tried many different solutions to our problems with food, including diets, exercise, and medication. In FA we have finally found an approach to recovery that is long-lasting. Some of us have maintained a normal weight and have been free of obsession with food for more than twenty-five years. Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous
