Les Bolton, Executive Director of Grays Harbor Historic Seaport, will give the straight scoop on why it is of essential importance to control historic artifacts that are used in movies. Les knows from direct experience that a loss of control can potentially lead to a loss of respect.
Each month CWB finds a speaker of wit and experience to talk about his or her special knowledge. It is also an opportunity for CWB members to meet one another and the staff. Admission is free and refreshments are served (donations to cover costs are appreciated).

The tour includes a humorous narration of old Seattle and some funky background music. Adults $11, Seniors $10, Kids 5-13 $7, under 5 $2. Pets OK. Sāādūūts, CWB's Artist-in-Residence, is a Master Haida carver. He has helped build over 5 canoes in the Seattle area. Currently a 37 foot log is in the early stages of being carved. Everyone is welcome to come help carve, meet Sāādūūts, and become part of the canoe family. Free.

The Center for Wooden Boats - South Lake Union
Our Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in classic boats.
The boats we use include: Admirable, a Bristol Bay Gillnetter, Amie, a Friendship sloop, Colleen Wagner, an Egret Sharpie, our long-boat Discovery, our New Haven Sharpie Betsy D, or a visiting classic.
Before and after your sail take a walk on the docks and discover the boats. Watch the volunteer crews rigging the boats. They’ll be happy to answer any question you might have, and you may even have a chance to help with the rigging!
We sail rain or shine, but wind conditions may keep us at the dock. Reservations are taken day-of-sail only at the CWB front desk. This is a popular activity so please arrive early to reserve a spot, we open at 10am. Rides are always at 2pm, and sometimes also at 3pm.

Our Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in classic boats.
The boats we use include: Admirable, a Bristol Bay Gillnetter, Amie, a Friendship sloop, Colleen Wagner, an Egret Sharpie, our long-boat Discovery, our New Haven Sharpie Betsy D, or a visiting classic.
Before and after your sail take a walk on the docks and discover the boats. Watch the volunteer crews rigging the boats. They’ll be happy to answer any question you might have, and you may even have a chance to help with the rigging!
We sail rain or shine, but wind conditions may keep us at the dock. Reservations are taken day-of-sail only at the CWB front desk. This is a popular activity so please arrive early to reserve a spot, we open at 10am. Rides are always at 2pm, and sometimes also at 3pm.

Our Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in classic boats.
The boats we use include: Admirable, a Bristol Bay Gillnetter, Amie, a Friendship sloop, Colleen Wagner, an Egret Sharpie, our long-boat Discovery, our New Haven Sharpie Betsy D, or a visiting classic.
Before and after your sail take a walk on the docks and discover the boats. Watch the volunteer crews rigging the boats. They’ll be happy to answer any question you might have, and you may even have a chance to help with the rigging!
We sail rain or shine, but wind conditions may keep us at the dock. Reservations are taken day-of-sail only at the CWB front desk. This is a popular activity so please arrive early to reserve a spot, we open at 10am. Rides are always at 2pm, and sometimes also at 3pm.

Cast Off! - Free Public Sail
The Center for Wooden Boats - South Lake Union
Our Cast Off! program allows visitors the chance to sail in classic boats.
The boats we use include: Admirable, a Bristol Bay Gillnetter, Amie, a Friendship sloop, Colleen Wagner, an Egret Sharpie, our long-boat Discovery, our New Haven Sharpie Betsy D, or a visiting classic.
Before and after your sail take a walk on the docks and discover the boats. Watch the volunteer crews rigging the boats. They’ll be happy to answer any question you might have, and you may even have a chance to help with the rigging!
We sail rain or shine, but wind conditions may keep us at the dock. Reservations are taken day-of-sail only at the CWB front desk. This is a popular activity so please arrive early to reserve a spot, we open at 10am. Rides are always at 2pm, and sometimes also at 3pm.

Dragon Boat Paddling

Try your hand at the oldest continuously practiced team sport in the world. Join the paddling crew on a 42' dragon boat while sightseeing on Lake Union. Get an introduction to the sport followed by an hour-long outing. All equipment provided and no experience required. For everyone 18 and older (12 if with a parent).
