Spring Sports Awards Evening

Athletics The Spring Sports Awards Evening concludes the season for track, crew, softball, Ultimate Frisbee, and lacrosse.  The event begins at 7 p.m. in the gym with a recap of each sport’s season, then teams and their respective families gather separately for a dessert celebration and awards. Crew Open House for New Families

Crew Incoming 9th graders (Class of 2017) and their parents are invited to visit the home of HNA crew and learn about the sport of rowing.  HNA is one of only two high schools in the Pacific Northwest to offer crew as an interscholastic sport. NCAA Student Athlete Seminar

Athletics For students currently in Grades 9-11 and their parents, Holy Names Academy will host a NCAA Student Athlete Seminar on Monday, June 3, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. If you are an athlete or parent of an athlete who hopes to participate in college athletics, you should attend this meeting.  Ms. Marilou Michelena, Assistant Director of Compliance at the University of Washington, will speak about the NCAA and the role of universities in compliance issues.  Mrs. Lacey London, HNA Athletic Director, will report on the recent National Athletic Directors Conference, and the College Counselors, Ms. Megan Diefenbach and Mrs. Alice Tanaka, will address athlete-recruitment practices at private colleges and universities.
