For students currently in Grades 9-11 and their parents, Holy Names Academy will host a NCAA Student Athlete Seminar on Monday, June 3, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. If you are an athlete or parent of an athlete who hopes to participate in college athletics, you should attend this meeting. Ms. Marilou Michelena, Assistant Director of Compliance at the University of Washington, will speak about the NCAA and the role of universities in compliance issues. Mrs. Lacey London, HNA Athletic Director, will report on the recent National Athletic Directors Conference, and the College Counselors, Ms. Megan Diefenbach and Mrs. Alice Tanaka, will address athlete-recruitment practices at private colleges and universities.
