Pet Microchip Clinic
All low-cost microchip clinics are from 3 – 4 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month at Kitsap Humane Society. Please enter through the admissions door located on the right side (if facing building). Cost per microchip is $30. Cash only please. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and contain information that can be accessed by an animal shelter or vet to find the owner of a lost pet. A microchip isn’t meant to take the place of a collar and a nametag—both signify right away that the pet has a home—but if the nametag gets lost, then what? The process of microchipping takes just few seconds and is similar to giving your pet a routine vaccination.
