Silverdale Community Christmas Tree Lighting

The 60th annual Silverdale Community Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will be held on Saturday 29 November. This is a fun time for families to get the holiday season started with the arrival of Santa who will light the world’s tallest living and consecutively lit Christmas tree (131 feet, Douglas {Grand} Fir). Activities will start at 1PM and conclude at 6 PM. The Silverdale Library will have materials for kids to make holiday cards starting at1:00 and tractor hay rides, sponsored by Oxford Suites, will be from 2:00 to 4:00 traveling between Oxford Suites and the Silverdale Library. New this year will be the opportunity to have “selfies” with community mascots who will be available from 2:00 to 5:00. Also new this year will be a food and toy drive at the relocated John L. Drama Kids Classes

Just this fall, we started a drama club/classes for elementary school age children called "Drama Kids." We saw these kinds of classes build children's communication and public speaking skills. So we're now offering classes in Kitsap County. We specialize in developmental drama (building skills) -- rather than performance-directed drama (putting on major shows, although we do have some performance opportunities throughout the year). Right now we only have two classes (1 hour, 1 day a week each). We'd like to expand our present classes and add on a few more if there's an interest among families to do that. The Sweet Sounds of Christmas

The Everett Chorale will present their annual holiday concert “The Sweet Sounds of Christmas” at the Everett Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 6 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, December 7 at 3 PM. The first half of the concert will feature the music of internationally renowned composer John Rutter who will celebrate his 70th birthday in 2015. His popular “Gloria” for brass ensemble, timpani and organ, will be the major work performed by the 65 voice Chorale. The second half of the concert will feature two local ensembles as guest artists: the Brass Reflections Quintet and the Snohomish County Children’s Choir. IYFL Recruiting Showcase - Bremerton Region

The IYFL is a select spring arena football program for youth ages 6-16. This Recruiting Showcase is the first step for athletes looking to join a team. It is a 2 hour event that allows team coaches to assess each player’s Football IQ and athletic ability. Players will participate in a number of speed, agility and fundamental skills tests. At least half of the time will be spent in 1-on-1 drills which allow players to demonstrate football acumen against real competition. Drama Kids Classes

Just this fall, we started a drama club/classes for elementary school age children called "Drama Kids." We saw these kinds of classes build children's communication and public speaking skills. So we're now offering classes in Kitsap County. We specialize in developmental drama (building skills) -- rather than performance-directed drama (putting on major shows, although we do have some performance opportunities throughout the year). Right now we only have two classes (1 hour, 1 day a week each). We'd like to expand our present classes and add on a few more if there's an interest among families to do that.
