ComixCon:Rahr West Art Museum

Local Manitowoc County digital artist Susan Murtaugh has invited Brian and Kristy Miller of Hi-Fi Colour Design to visit our community. Their business involves providing artists, in particular colorists, to the comic book industry. They work with all the comic producers - Marvel, DC, Disney, Simpson’s and many others. Through their HIFIAcademy.com they are also the go-to source for tutorials, books and workshops on creating and coloring comic books. This is a huge industry. And in spite of the many fans comics have, very few know anything about what goes into their creation. So Susan invited the Millers to come, from Arizona, through ice and snow, to Manitowoc to show interested community members what a colorist does. This event is open to the public. Meet Brian and Kristy at the Rahr-West, Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 5:00 PM. They’ll present an introduction to coloring comics. The Priests

The Priests are exactly that, three Roman Catholic priests from Northern Ireland, Father Eugene O'Hagan, Father Martin O'Hagan, (they're brothers), and Father David Delargy, who just happen to have three voices that fit together magically. Their ability to render sacred music, classical arias, and traditional Irish songs with a kind of rare accessibility led to a recording contract. Despite their success, they have kept their 'day jobs' as parish priests-insisting that celebrating regular Mass and community work comes first. The Priests don't just sing. Frs. As it transpired, plenty did - huge record sales, record-breaking triumphs and global fame. Their debut album, sold at such a pace, it secured them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the fastest-selling classical debut ever.
