14th Annual Wet Whistle Wine Fest

Grape Stomp, Wine Tasting, Specialty Foods, & Fine Art Fair. You’ll have to see it to believe it! There’s something that happens one weekend a year in Algoma that defies explanation. It’s not the two thousand visitors all smiling at the same time. It’s not the trombonist standing in a barrel on the grape stomp rack sliding through a riff, or the dirty grape-soaked sticky purple feet on the person who’s dancing across the stage in front of the band. Those are normal and to be expected. What usually throws people are all of the costumes. We don’t ask for or even suggest that anyone come dressed up like giant wine bottles, or that groups show up in shirts specially made for the weekend. We certainly don’t expect to see any nuns smoking cigarettes and drinking Naughty Girl wine. In fact, there are things that go on at this festival that we just couldn’t make up. They happen this way with no coercion. As the saying goes, don’t take our word for it… come see it for yourself! Friday Free admission, but… Friday, September 11, 2015, 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. von Stiehl Winery 115 Navarino St Algoma, WI 54201.

Friday Free admission, but… Saturday, September 12, 2015, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM. von Stiehl Winery 115 Navarino St Algoma, WI 54201.
