After the death, survivors’ grief may be complicated by the nature of a lengthy disease process that has changed their relationship with the deceased. Through a combination of candid, compelling interviews and live, in-studio discussion, experts will identify how medical and social service professionals can best help patients, families and themselves cope with loss and grief associated with these progressive illnesses. In July of 2014, Darwin “Nub" Higgins left for the hospital expecting a 6 hour heart surgery that took over 12 hours. Little did he know that he would spend the next 7 months lying in a hospital bed . Following his 12 hour surgery, he laid unconscious for 2 months hooked up to a ventilator. He endured numerous complications including pneumonia, bed sores, a collapsed lung, vi… Saturday, May 2, 2015, 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Clintonville Lanes 250 County Hwy I Clintonville, WI 54929.
