1st Annual Children’s Halloween Parade

On Saturday, October 25th, at 10:30 a.m. the Ripon Noon Kiwanis Club will be holding their 1st Annual Children’s Halloween Parade. The parade is to assist our schools in providing a Halloween activity outside of schools hours as well as support our club in the building of a new splash pad in Riggs County Park on the east side of Ripon. Currently, the Ripon children do not have any local summer “water fun” options. The Splash Pad will be designed so disabled and handicap children can safely enjoy the fun as well. After the parade is done, we will be hosting a “trick or treat on the Village Green” sponsored by many of our area businesses from noon until 1:00. A photo booth sponsored by Webster’s Pick N Save will be donating a photo to each child in their Halloween costumes. Jim Anger is a singer-songwriter, guitar picker, banjo-plunker, and harmonica blower who loves most of all to sing for and with kids! The Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s 6th annual Maritime History Ghost Walk offers the unique chance to hear true Great Lakes tales with an eerie twist. The First Great Menasha Library Chili Cook-Off

Miyazaki embarked on a two-week, 1,800-mile drive around Lake Michigan. He traveled its perimeter, through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, to produce what he calls "a contemporary portrait of Lake Michigan." Miyazaki set up his portable studio on beaches, in parks, on boat docks, and in backyards, photographing those he met along the way. From residents, environmental scientists, and artists to a Native American water rights advocate, surfers, and commercial fishermen, Lake Michigan holds a powerful place in the life of each.
