Specify payment gateway credit card types

You can specify which credit card types you want to accept for payments made through a particular gateway. Trumba supports Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

NOTE If you use PayPal Express Checkout, supported card types are determined by PayPal, and this information does not apply.

To specify accepted card types for a gateway

NOTE These steps are from the perspective of modifying an existing payment gateway, but card selection is the same if you are setting up a new gateway.

  1. Click Manage Gateways

In the list of gateways that you set up in your Trumba account, you can see which card types each one accepts:

  2. Click the link for the gateway you want to modify, and then for Accepted Cards, clear the check boxes for the cards you no longer want to accept, or select boxes for cards you want to start accepting.

  3. Click OK, and then click Done.

When a visitor signs up for an event, the credit card payment form shows the accepted card types:

If the visitor enters a number for a card type that is not accepted, Trumba alerts the visitor and does not complete the transaction.
