Print a calendar
You can print a black and white or color copy of any nonpublished or published Trumba® calendar.
To print a color copy, you have to enable the option in your browser for printing background colors and images.
Set up for color printing
The way you enable the option for printing background colors and images differs depending upon which browser you're using.
Note The information below is based on recent versions of the browsers. If you're using an older version, the printing background colors and images option may not be in exactly the same location.
Internet Explorer
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. Click the Advanced tab. Under Settings, scroll down until you find the Printing category. Make sure Print background colors and images is checked, and then click OK.
Firefox
- On the File menu, click Page Setup. On the Format & Options tab, under Options, select Print background (colors & images). Click OK.
Safari (probably set correctly by default but you might want to check)
- On the File menu, click Print. On the Copies & Pages pop-up menu, click Safari. Select Print Backgrounds. Click OK.
Netscape
- On the File menu, click Page Setup. On the Format & Options tab, under Options, select Print background (colors & images). Click OK.
Tip Remember to disable the background colors and images option when you're finished printing if you don't want to end up with full color versions of all Web pages you print.
Print a nonpublished calendar
- Display the calendar that you want to print. Click Day, 3 Day, Week, Multi-Week, Month, Year, or List to display the correct view.
Tip If events on the calendar are not all the same color, it means that you've mixed events from other calendars in to the calendar you're printing. If you don't want the mixed-in events to appear in the printed copy, in the calendar list on the left, clear the check boxes for calendars with colors that match the events you want to hide.
- Click Print above the calendar.
A new browser window opens with your calendar in it spread across the entire width of the window. When you print, the calendar information will stretch from margin to margin.
- If you intend to print a colored copy of your calendar, make sure you enable the option for printing background colors and images.
- On the File menu, click Print Preview.
- In the Print Preview window, you'll see the calendar the way it will look on the printed page. This is your chance to make changes in page orientation or other setup options.
In some browsers, you can change the page orientation right in the Print Preview window. In other browsers, you might have to click a Page Setup button to make the changes. If you don't see a Page Setup button in the Print Preview window, close the window. On the File menu, click Page Setup.
Tip If you're printing a Multi-Week or Month view, it's best to set the page orientation to Landscape.
- When the preview looks the way you want it to, click Print in the Print Preview window.
Print a published calendar
- In a browser window, go to the Web site of the published calendar you want to print, or enter the published calendar's URL in the address bar.
If you want to browse available calendars, you can open the Trumba Connect public calendar directory.
- Display the page that you want to print. For example, if the calendar is organized by months, display the month you're interested in.
Tip If events on the calendar are not all the same color, it means that events from other calendars are mixed-in to the published calendar you're printing. If you don't want the mixed-in events to appear in the printed copy, in the Mixed-in Calendars list on the right, clear the check boxes for calendars with colors that match the events you want to hide.
- In the header section of the calendar, click the Print link.
A new browser window opens with the calendar in it.
