CalendarSync system requirements

Note At the time that Trumba Corporation stopped development of CalendarSync, Windows XP SP2 was the latest version of Windows. CalendarSync has not been tested with Windows Vista™ or any software built for it. Although it might work with these programs, Trumba Corporation cannot support CalendarSync in these environments, and development does not have plans to update CalendarSync for these newer versions of Outlook and Windows.

For synchronizing to work, your computer must be running:

  • Windows 2000 or later, up to Windows XP with Service Pack 2.
  • Outlook 2000 or later, up to Outlook 2003.
  • A browser that Trumba Connect supports.
  • Microsoft Windows .Net Framework 1.1.

Currently, CalendarSync needs version 1.1 specifically. If you have .Net 2.0, you will need to install .Net 1.1 in addition to it (it's possible to have both versions on the same computer.

To see if the correct version of the .Net Framework is installed on your computer, open the Windows Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Progams. The list of installed programs will include Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1.

In addition, to install CalendarSync, you must have administrator privileges on your computer. For more information, see I get an error about verifying that I have access to a directory in Troubleshoot synchronizing with Outlook.

Install CalendarSync

  1. Make sure your computer meets the CalendarSync system requirements.
  2. Quit all instances of Outlook that are running.
  3. If CalendarSync is already installed on your computer, click the Add or Remove Programs icon in the Windows Control Panel to uninstall that older version.
  4. Sign in to your Trumba account.
  5. To the left of your calendar, in the Calendar Tasks list, click Install CalendarSync for Microsoft Outlook, and then click Download CalendarSync Setup.

Note If you do not see this link, you either signed up for Trumba Connect after CalendarSync was discontinued (mid-2006), or your computer does not meet the CalendarSync system requirements.

  6. When a download or security dialog box appears (this dialog box looks a little different in each browser):

If you have the option to click Run or Open, do that. You'll see a second dialog box. Click Run or Open a second time.

If you have no other option than to save the downloaded file to your computer, click OK or Save. Locate the file CalendarSyncSetup.exe that you downloaded to your computer, and then double-click it.

  7. In the CalendarSync Setup Wizard, click Next on the Welcome page and the two subsequent pages. It's not necessary to change any of the installation defaults.
  8. When the installation is complete, click Close.

CalendarSync is now installed on your computer, and you can synchronize your calendars.
