What can I do with Trumba Connect?Trumba® Connect is a Web-based calendar solution that provides you with the tools you need to manage and communicate event information. It's ideal for businesses and organizations concerned about attendance at events they sponsor. Here are a few of the options Trumba Connect offers:
Quickly get up and runningWith Trumba Connect, you don't have to worry about a complicated conversion process or an extended learning curve. If you currently keep event information in another calendar program or in a spreadsheet, you can import the existing data into your Trumba account. If you use Microsoft® Office Outlook®, you can synchronize your Outlook and Trumba Connect calendars so events you add to one calendar are always reflected on the other calendar. We've designed Trumba Connect to be easy to use. For those times when you have questions, we provide extensive online Help resources and a responsive and active product support forum. To learn more, see: Publish your event calendar as a Web page with its own URLYou can publish any calendar you create to the Web. Trumba Connect provides pre-designed, professional-looking templates so no technical expertise is required. You can choose colors and fonts, and you can add your own photo or logo to the published calendar. If you have your own Web site, you can link to the published calendar from there or embed the calendar into a page on your site.
This embedded calendar includes different categories of events. Each category has its own color and visitors to the calendar can choose which categories they want to see. To learn more, see: Set up scheduled email messages to automatically send upcoming event information from your calendarTo keep a mailing list of potential audience members informed about upcoming events, all you have to do is keep your event calendar up to date and set up calendar email. Setting up a calendar email means creating a list of recipients, choosing how much event information to include, and specifying how often the email messages will be sent.
People on your calendar's distribution list receive email messages similar to this one according to a schedule that you specify. To learn more, see: Make it easy for people to add your events to their personal calendars and spread the word to othersResearch shows that people are five times more likely to attend an event if they add information about the event to their calendars. That's why, when you publish your event calendar to the Web or send upcoming event information using calendar email, Trumba Event Actions technology is automatically included with every event. This means that people who view the published calendar or receive the calendar emails can take action with the events they find there. For example, they can add events to their Yahoo!, Microsoft® Office Outlook®, MSN® Hotmail®, and Apple® iCal® personal calendars, set up email message or cell phone text message reminders, RSVP to event invitations, or download the event information to their computers. You don't have to publish a calendar to take advantage of Trumba Event Actions technology. The Trumba Event Actions Application Programming Interface (API) describes a straight-forward process for making events actionable on any Web site.
From the event actions window, people can also use the Forward to friends event action to forward your event information to up to ten other people. To learn more, see: Actions visitors can take with events on your published calendar Manage multiple calendarsYou can create as many calendars as you want and then mix calendars together to get exactly the schedule view that you need. For example, you can create separate calendars for each type of event that you offer or publicize and for your organizational staff activities. You can view the calendars individually to see the schedule for one category of event. Or, you can view the calendars together to get a sense for the overall picture.
Calendars are color-coded so you can quickly distinguish one category of events from another. To learn more, see:
Securely share calendars when more than one person schedules eventsEach member of a team or business can share his or her calendar with other members, assigning view-only or edit permission as appropriate. This makes it easy to share scheduling responsibilities as well as keep track of each other's schedules and plan meetings.
