The public is invited to hear from planetary scientists about the latest research and discussions occurring during the annual Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC), and ask your questions to our panelists. Monday, March 15: Hear about new research from the recently opened Apollo lunar core samples with a short presentation by Dr. Juliane Gross, followed by a discussion of the day’s programs (including a number about Ocean Worlds) by L. Miché Aaron, Szilard Gyalay, and Gavin Tolometti. Tuesday, March 16: Dr. Ken Williford will describe the Mars 2020 mission and Perseverance rover, followed by a discussion of the day’s programs by Dr. Michael Zeilnhofer, Dr. Angélica Anglés, and Nandita Kumari. Wednesday, March 17: Dr. Renee Weber will discuss NASA’s science priorities for the Artemis missions to the Moon, and Dr. Shogo Tachibana will discuss the findings of the Hayabusa 2 mission’s samples. They will be joined for a discussion of the day’s programs by Lori Pigue and Dr. Xinting Yu. Thursday, March 18: Dr. Edgard Rivera-Valentín will discuss Arecibo Observatory’s history of planetary research, followed by a discussion of the day’s programs by Dr. Anamaria Berea and Martin Hajovsky.
