 r>My work explores the topic of escaping into a new reality to find comf
 ort and serenity from the dull and mundane life I live. The spaces that 
 I escape to vary\, but they all involve an ethereal dreamscape with many
  sea life and space-like themes. The avatars of my pieces reflect me as 
 a person trying to morph into a world where I can melt my stress away by
  indulging in a fantasy full of life and color. It&#39\;s a reflection o
 f how I handle stress and how I choose to relieve my stress by surroundi
 ng myself with objects that I find comfort in.<br>Although not the healt
 hiest way to handle stress\, it still brings to light how indulging in o
 ne&#39\;s source of security can grant them some peace of mind and help 
 them find relief for just a moment before tackling their challenges. A l
 ot of these fantasies are in my head\, but I find it difficult to explai
 n these worlds so vividly to others. My art is my attempt to capture the
 m on paper and on screen for me and everyone to see and fully grasp what
  these dreamscapes really look like. I work in both digital and traditio
 nal drawing\, but both use various forms of drawing technique\, ranging 
 from blending colors together to create more vibrant tones to hatching l
 ines to give more texture and movement to my pieces. I gravitate towards
  intentionally showing my brushwork as it creates more expression in my 
 strokes\, and it shows my presence in the work. In my  traditional drawi
 ngs\, I also mix different mediums together because one medium is not en
 ough for me to express how I view these dreamscapes.<br><br>Alondra Ginn
 ez&#39\;s artist statement:<br>My work explores the interactions with ou
 r parakeets&#39\; life with love and care and how they show emotions and
  personality that none of us know about them and how they impacted my fa
 mily that we haven&#39\;t felt for a long time .The series shows their l
 ife and my family that i have capture thorugh my perspective in a singul
 ar and multi-panels in a manga/comic style as an original characters. An
 d Parakeets also represent my childhood first pet and memories. <br><br>

 ><em>Juan Carlos Quintana </em></em>is a Cuban-American arist whose work
  embodies irony and ambiguity. He creates what he describes as a &quot\;
 pre-post-anti-pro revolutionary gumbo/ajiaco potpourri&quot\; of images.
  His whimsical\, satirical style speaks to ideological conundrums and lo
 st idealism\, challenging dominant narratives much like the original Tro
 picalist used art to cri/que authority.<br><br><em><em>Carlo Ricafort</e
 m></em>\, is a Filipino-American arist who employs an eclectic process o
 f excavating history\, music\, philosophy and current events to inform h
 is work. He borrows from multiple sources to create free-associative and
  open-ended commentaries. By rejecting notions of cultural purity\, Rica
 fort champions a complex hybrid reality that reflects layered realities 
 of the global diaspora.<em><em> </em></em><br><br><em><em>John Yoyogi Fo
 rtes </em></em>is a Filipino-American artist who weaves together influen
 ces from Filipino culture\, American pop culture\, nature\, and history.
  His work on Filipino diaspora\, immigration and belonging uses humor an
 d bold visuals to grapple with identity negotiation. This mirrors Tropic
 &#225\;lia&#39\;s blend of local and global aesthetics to explore decolo
 nization and survival. Tropeycalia Club is a trio of artists rooted in t
 he revolutionary\, collaborative spirit of the 1960s Brazilian Tropic&#2
 25\;lia movement. Through paintings\, mixed media\, and installations\, 
 they use satire and pointed humor as subversive tools to &quot\;cannibal
 ize&quot\; and expose the absurdities of cultural imperialism and consum
 erism. Their work draws on the legacy of colonialism to advocate for cul
 tural sovereignty and diversity in an increasingly fragmented\, hyper-gl
 obalized world. By fostering a critical consciousness through art\, we a
 im to provoke dialogue around social justice and the ongoing struggles f

 br><em><em>Juan Carlos Quintana </em></em>is a Cuban-American arist whos
 e work embodies irony and ambiguity. He creates what he describes as a &
 quot\;pre-post-anti-pro revolutionary gumbo/ajiaco potpourri&quot\; of i
 mages. His whimsical\, satirical style speaks to ideological conundrums 
 and lost idealism\, challenging dominant narratives much like the origin
 al Tropicalist used art to cri/que authority.<br><br><em><em>Carlo Ricaf
 ort</em></em>\, is a Filipino-American arist who employs an eclectic pro
 cess of excavating history\, music\, philosophy and current events to in
 form his work. He borrows from multiple sources to create free-associati
 ve and open-ended commentaries. By rejecting notions of cultural purity
 \, Ricafort champions a complex hybrid reality that reflects layered real
 ities of the global diaspora.<br><br><em><em>John Yoyogi Fortes </em></e
 m>is a Filipino-American artist who weaves together influences from Fili
 pino culture\, American pop culture\, nature\, and history. His work on 
 Filipino diaspora\, immigration and belonging uses humor and bold visual
 s to grapple with identity negotiation. This mirrors Tropic&#225\;lia&#3
 9\;s blend of local and global aesthetics to explore decolonization and 
 survival. Tropeycalia Club is a trio of artists rooted in the revolution
 ary\, collaborative spirit of the 1960s Brazilian Tropic&#225\;lia movem
 ent. Through paintings\, mixed media\, and installations\, they use sati
 re and pointed humor as subversive tools to &quot\;cannibalize&quot\; an
 d expose the absurdities of cultural imperialism and consumerism. Their 
 work draws on the legacy of colonialism to advocate for cultural soverei
 gnty and diversity in an increasingly fragmented\, hyper-globalized worl
 d. By fostering a critical consciousness through art\, we aim to provoke
  dialogue around social justice and the ongoing struggles for self-deter

  Music continues with a performance by the Pan Pacific Ensemble. Establi
 shed in 2016\, the Pan Pacific Ensemble is a wind quintet committed to p
 erforming music from composers in Asia and the Americas. The ensemble re

 strong>ironhorses</strong></strong></em><strong><strong>\, on Albany Rec
 ords in 2019. The group has delighted audiences across the United States
  and recently completed a mid-Atlantic tour with performances at James M
 adison University\, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro\, and
  the University of Maryland\, College Park.</strong></strong>
