Relaxed Mornings are for anyone who would appreciate a calmer visit to the museum. Scheduled on the first Saturday of each month, Relaxed Mornings are primarily for visitors with sensory needs or those who may prefer a more relaxed experience, along with their families, friends, and care givers. 
 
Sensory friendly bags are available for all guests at the Information Desk on Level One. These bags include an assortment of items to help visitors better enjoy our galleries. Three types of fidget toys and noise cancelling headphones are included for those who may need additional sensory support. There is also a KultureCity lanyard that guests can wear, which includes QR codes to helpful information. For those who may need assistance with sharing their needs or feelings, we provide an emotion/needs card that allows guests to communicate with staff. 
 
Signs throughout the museum indicate a potentially louder space using the phrase “Headphone Zone.” Quiet spaces are located in the lobby on Level Two and the balcony on Level Three. A pre-visit social story can be found here.

The Billops-Hatch Artist & Influence Programming Series Presents an Oral History Interview with Clifton Davis in conversation with Tayari Jones. Artist & Influence is an annual public event featuring a live oral history interview with a notable contemporary African American artist.

Clifton Davis is an actor, singer, composer, producer, and minister. He has appeared on television shows including Clipped, Madam Secretary, and Godfather of Harlem. Davis also wrote Never Can Say Goodbye and Lookin’ Through the Windows for the Jackson 5. He currently stars on the CBS soap opera Beyond the Gates.

Tayari Jones is the Charles Howard Candler Professor of Creative Writing at Emory University. She also is the author of five novels, including the New York Times bestselling An American Marriage and, most recently, KIN.

Performance by the Vega String Quartet: What Moves You?
