Description | Join Community Reads for a campus-wide reading and discussion of "So You Want To Talk About Race" by Ijeoma Oluo. This local Seattle author was the Keynote speaker at The Equity and Inclusion Conference in February on UW Bothell/Cascadia’s campus. This is an opportunity to return to the conversations Oluo brings to her readers about racial divides in America. Oluo frankly addresses issues such as privilege, police brutality, intersectionality, micro-aggressions, the Black Lives Matter movement, and the "N" word. A limited number of FREE books will be available at the Campus Library front desk thanks to the UW Race and Equity Initiative. |
