Description | This workshop will provide an overview of Lean Process Improvement. We will explore how we used this approach to improve service at Husky Hall. As some may know, Husky Hall was originally a nursing home, and we filled it with disparate units including admissions, cashiering, faculty offices, the Husky ID card, commuter services, international student services and more. Students, faculty, and staff found the building unwelcoming and confusing. Join this session to learn about how we created a new approach to service, mapped the process and improved workflow efficiency. Using Lean, the team learned about current state, the 8 deadly wastes, and together, created a new and improved future state to better serve our customers. In this session you will get hands on practice using Lean thinking and tools. Instructors: Sheri Willis and Pamela Lundquist. |
