Many faculty and staff across campus have experienced the unexpected loss of loved ones during the pandemic. This healing space will focus on the unique needs of those experiencing grief and loss. This facilitated healing space will bring together campus community members to share experiences and gather collective wisdom. A healing space allows people to support each other through deep listening and shared learning. This leads to authentic and deep connectivity and can create wisdom and healing for our campus community members. OE/HR is offering two grief and loss healing space sessions for the campus community. Each session will offer individuals an opportunity to show up authentically and process their grief experience in a safe environment, witness other peoples' experiences and offer support. Each session will be facilitated by Portia Baja, LICSWA. See Portia's bio and photo in OE/HR Holistic Well-Being page. Portia invites each participant the option to bring a candle/memento to honor their loved one/s. Please register to indicate your intention participate in one of the grief and loss healing spaces. The capacity for each session is limited to 15 people. If both of these sessions fill, we will explore the possibility of additional sessions. Audience: UWB campus community |
