From the classroom to the boardroom, bullying is an issue of growing concern which can affect professors, administrators, staff, and students alike.
In this brief introduction, we will discuss what bullying and mobbing look like at work in general and, on college campuses in particular. You will learn about the warning signs of bullying and mobbing, how they differ from interpersonal conflict, and what you as an individual and an organization can do to help. Lorraine Segal, M.A.is a Conflict Management and Communication Consultant, Coach, and Trainer. Through her own business, Conflict Remedy, Ms. Segal works with leaders and others at corporations and nonprofits as well as colleges, to promote harmonious and productive workplaces. At Sonoma State University, she is the curriculum designer and lead teacher for the Conflict Management professional development certificate program. She is also a contributing author to the book, Stand Up, Speak Out Against Workplace Bullying.
