Description | The Collaboratory will be hosting a grand opening of the newly renovated space on January 25th and 26th from 10am - 5pm! Students, staff, and faculty of all skill levels and majors are welcome to join us in this exciting new space. There will be tours, workshops, contests, and other activities throughout the day where you will learn more about fabricating items using the available machines and get creative with what you make. - 10:00am - 10:30am: Opening tour & Collaboratory overview presentation
- 11:00am - 12:00pm: 3D printing workshop
- 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Laser cutting workshop
- 2:30pm - 3:30pm: Creative contest activity
- 4:00pm - 5:00pm: VR experiences showcase
The UW Bothell Collaboratory (formerly called the Makerspace) is a creative environment with the equipment needed for hands-on curricular and co-curricular projects. Located on the first floor of Discovery Hall, the Collaboratory is a free resource for all UW Bothell students, faculty, and staff. The space is equipped with tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters, a vinyl cutter, sewing machines and more. |
