Together, we’ll look at common oral health problems and their prevention with Dr. Sami Dogan. You’ll learn about present and past procedures and products, and how science and innovation is reshaping the future of oral care. Meet the Speaker Dr. Dogan holds a DDS (1991) from Ankara University Dental School in Turkey and Dr. Med. Dent. degree from the Medical University of Hannover in Germany. He completed his prosthodontics postgraduate training in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Washington in 2012. Dr. Dogan actively participates in clinical practice and clinical research at the University of Washington. His research focuses on developing new treatments towards novel dental health care, in which Dr. Dogan is in a unique position to direct experimental test groups, and formulation of remineralization for relevance to clinical applications. Based on his background as a clinician, with the expertise of basic sciences in cell culturing and bacterial tests with different dental materials, Dr. Dogan leads the establishment of new formulations and selection of in-use treatments for comparison to the remineralization protocols developed. Dr. Dogan has been active in publishing his research and writing book chapters on clinical dentistry. He maintains memberships in the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the German Society of Dental Oral and Craniomandibular Sciences (DGZMK) and the German Society of Dental Implantology (DGI). |
