DescriptionIn this presentation, Tsutakawa will talk about five “women warriors” in the arts and journalism fields who were trailblazers of their time. This list includes the pioneering photographer Imogen Cunningham, the jazz musician Ruby Bishop, artist Priscilla Chong Jue, Leftist journalist Anna Louise Strong, and linguist Vi Hilbert. Washington’s Undiscovered Feminists explores Tsutakawa these extraordinary women’s lives while drawing upon her own experiences as an activist and a writer. Sponsored by Humanities, WA.
