T Bootcamp - English Course!

. Aucoin is a Certified Educator of over 28 years with the Evangeline Pa
rish School Board. During her teaching career\, she has taught both Math
and ACT Prep to the students in her area. Additionally\, Ms. Aucoin has
brought her experience and expertise in the specific ACT subject areas
to all of the students throughout the district by hosting her ACT Bootca
mp in all of the district'\;s high schools.
The ACT Bootcamp E
nglish Course will focus on preparing the students to face the English p
ortion of the ACT test. Specifically\, the classes will: - Review
the English skills most commonly included on the ACT English test\, incl
uding Grammar\, Punctuation\, and Sentence Structure\;
- Identify
strategies in approaching questions found on the ACT English test\;
- Explain time saving methods to arrive at the correct answer faster
\, while learning quick ways to double check your work to ensure correct
answers\;
- Practice incorporating the rhetorical skills discuss
ed on real ACT English problems\;
- Allow students to become more
familiar and comfortable tackling the ACT English test questions and th
us help reduce the anxiety which often hinders success.
The cos
t of the ACT Bootcamp English course is $108.00 ($100.00 registration fe
e and $8.00 administrative processing fee)
The class will be held
each Monday between April 8th and April 29th\, beginning at 5:00 PM unt
il 6:30 PM in the Community Education Center - Room #113. All materials
will be provided to you throughout the course. However\, it is highly re

amp - Reading/Science Course!

s. Aucoin is a Certified Educator of over 28 years with the Evangeline P
arish School Board. During her teaching career\, she has taught both Mat
h and ACT Prep to the students in her area. Additionally\, Ms. Aucoin ha
s brought her experience and expertise in the specific ACT subject areas
to all of the students throughout the district by hosting her ACT Bootc
amp in all of the district'\;s high schools.
The ACT Bootcamp
Reading/Science Course will focus on preparing the students to face the
Reading and Science portions of the ACT test. Specifically\, the classes
will: - Review the reading and thinking skills most commonly incl
uded on the ACT Reading and Science tests\, including spotting significa
nt details\, data representation\, understanding event sequences\, readi
ng comprehension\, and compare and contrast\;
- Identify strategi
es in approaching questions found on the ACT Reading and Science tests\;
- Explain time saving methods to arrive at the correct answer fa
ster\, while learning quick ways to double check your work to ensure cor
rect answers\;
- Practice incorporating the reading comprehension
skills discussed on real ACT Reading and Science problems\;
- Al
low students to become more familiar and comfortable tackling the ACT Re
ading and Science test questions and thus help reduce the anxiety which
often hinders success.
The cost of the ACT Bootcamp Reading/Sci
ence course is $108.00 ($100.00 registration fee and $8.00 administrativ
e processing fee)
The class will be held each Monday between May
6th and May 20th. \;Class will meet each Monday during these dates f
rom 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM in Room #113 \;in the Continuing Education
Building.

ServSafe Manager Course will provide food safety training\,
exams\, and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students will
learn in-depth about personal hygiene\, time and temperature\, food saf
ety management systems\, and more. The program combines the latest FDA F
ood Code\, food safety research\, and years of food sanitation training
experience. At the end of the course\, students can earn the ServSafe Fo
od Protection Manager Certification. \;
