City Hall will be lit Red to celebrate the Queensland Reds v The British & Irish Lions

Rugby Australia is the governing body of rugby union in Australia. It was officially constituted in 1949 and is a member of World Rugby, the sport's international governing body. Rugby Australia has eight member unions, representing each state and territory. Queensland’s very own Reds will take on the best from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Brisbane Open House Weekend is an annual community festival, providing Brisbane residents and visitors with the rare opportunity to discover the hidden wealth of architecture, engineering and history in buildings and places around Brisbane city. Running 18 to 20 July 2025, selected buildings are open to the public with guided and self-guided tours encouraging visitors to explore, re-examine and engage with Brisbane’s built environment. The experience opens people’s eyes and minds to good design and curious spaces, as we evolve into an Olympic city.
