*To be eligible for the renewal course, you must bring your valid and current BLS course completion card issued by the American Heart Association to the class for verification.* The BLS Renewal course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR, foreign-body airway obstruction and automated external defibrillation (AED). The course is designed for health professionals who must have a credential documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This course includes a written exam and skills test. Participants will receive a course completion card. BOOK INFORMATION Penn Medicine Employees Books are available in the library for advance preparation, and one will be provided for you to use during class. You may also purchase a book for $25 if you would like.
Non-Employees You can call 1.888.897.8979 to arrange picking up your book or you can pick it up at class. LATE ATTENDANCEDue to course curriculum, participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late to class will not be permitted to attend and must reschedule. CANCELLATIONS A $25 book fee will be deducted from your class refund for cancellations made after you have received the book. The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.
