This Thursday, July 13th, the SER-UW nursery invites you to our first volunteer work party of the summer.
The nursery is nearly full to the brim with plants, and the UW Botanic Gardens has generously offered to give us more outdoor growing space! We will spend the day clearing the area, laying down weed fabric, and moving lots of plants. The new space (over 250 sq ft) will house our prairie plants, and in turn open up more room for our tree and hoophouse species. Come take advantage of the long summer nights! Dress to get dirty, and don’t forget your water bottle and sun protection. We will provide the tools, gloves, sunscreen and snacks. Meet in front of the Douglas Research Conservatory at 5 pm, and come prepared help the nursery grow!
