Join Professor Meister for a discussion of the formal and symbolic logic of temples in north India, their evolution and cultural landscape to compliment the lecture for the Seattle Art Museum on watery landscapes the next day. Michael Meister is the W. Norman Brown Professor of South Asian Studies in the Departments of Art History and South Asian Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. His special interests have been architectural, especially temple architecture, but he has ranged widely, including an interest in contemporary arts and artists. |
