Interested in pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare (BASW) degree at the University of Washington School of Social Work?  Join us for an information session! You will learn more about the BASW program and the application process, and have a chance to ask questions.

We strongly encourage prospective BASW students to register separately for our February 7th BASW Open House event as well.

If you are not yet a student at UW, please note that you'll also need to apply to UW as a transfer student (or as a freshman applicant if you're a Running Start high school student) in addition to submitting the separate departmental application for admission to the BASW program. We encourage prospective UW transfer students to visit the Transfer Thursday website, and to attend a general UW Transfer Thursday transfer admission information session in addition to attending our departmental BASW information session. Two applications are required: one for transfer admission to the university, and a second (departmental) application for admission to the BASW program.  UW's deadline for Fall 2018 transfer admission applications is February 15th, which is earlier than our April 17th BASW departmental admission application deadline. Prospective Fall 2018 transfer students must submit both applications; the BASW program only admits students to begin in the Fall quarter each year.
