How prepared would you consider yourself to be in an emergency? Many of us don’t like to think about what can go wrong, but having basic response skills and an understanding of possible risks can help alleviate many fears we have regarding emergencies. That’s why this year we’re partnering with Stacie Louviere, UW’s Seismic Resilience Program manager for an Earthquake Awareness and Personal Preparedness seminar. At this event, Louviere will give us all an overview of UW Emergency Management, earthquake risks specific to the Puget Sound, personal preparedness basics, and what an earthquake response should look like at the UW.
