Interaction Design Assistant Professor Audrey Desjardins will give a presentation about her research. Prior to joining the School's faculty, Desjardins was a researcher in the Everyday Design Studio at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC. She has been assistant to the editors-in-chief of ACM Interactions magazine since 2012. Desjardins' research focusses on non-expert design, do-it-yourself and Maker cultures, technologies for the home, Internet of Things, design methods, design fiction, sustainability, and emergency collaborative situations. This lecture is part of the UW reappointment process for tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor. |
