The University of Washington is proud to announce its second symposium on the theme of The Mongol Empire and its Legacy. Come hear: Professor Hodong Kim, Department of Asian History, Seoul National University, speak about “Four Paradigms in the Study of the Mongol Empire." Professor Eiren Shea, Department of Art and Art History, Grinnell College, speak about “Pomp, Dress, and Circumstance: Robing at Khubilai’s Court (1260-1294).” Professor Stefan Kamola, Department of History, Eastern Connecticut State University, speak about “The Shape of the World: Universal History under the Mongols.” There will be a reception following the event.
