Description | Speaker: McKenna Eastment, MD, MPH Title: Results of an RCT of an Implementation Science Tool to Integrate HIV Testing into Family Planning Services McKenna Eastment, MD, MPH is an Acting Instructor in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She completed her medical degree at the University of Chicago prior to moving to Seattle. She then completed her Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Diseases Fellowship here at the University of Washington. During her ID fellowship, she also completed a Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology. Her research interests include women’s health in low and middle income countries, cervical cancer screening, HIV, and implementation science. She is the PI on a career development award testing SAIA as an implementation strategy to increase cervical cancer screening in Mombasa County, Kenya. She splits her time attending in the hospital for both General Medicine and Infectious Diseases and as an outpatient HIV primary care provider, teaching medical and graduate students, and conducting research. |
