Speaker: Maritza Farrant, MBChB, FRACP, MPH Title: HIV, Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors, and Subclinical Atherosclerosis among Kenyan Adults” Maritza is a New Zealand trained Endocrinologist with an interest in reproductive health. She has worked on academic projects in the area of male hormonal contraception at the University of Washington. Maritza recently graduated with an MPH (Global Health, General Track) from the University of Washington and will be presenting the results of her thesis looking at the association of HIV and cardiovascular risk factors with carotid intimal media thickness in Western Kenyan adults. Maritza is currently working in a global role with the COVID-19 response team at Microsoft Corp in Redmond |
