Speaker: Wenjia Liu, BSN, MSN, PhD student Title: “It is a process” – A qualitative evaluation of provider acceptability of HIV Assisted Partner Notification Service in Western Kenya: Experience, Challenges and Facilitators Wenjia is a PhD student in Nursing Science at the University of Washington. Her research interests include understanding and relieving the psycho-social-existential suffering of vulnerable populations and transcultural nursing. She has worked at Mathare slum in Nairobi to provide psychosocial support for people living with HIV and at Merrueshi village to assess the needs of a primary care clinic serving a Maasai community with the GO Health Kenya Fellowship. She also assisted with qualitative data analysis of the Systems Analysis and Improvement Approach to Optimize the Pediatric HIV Diagnosis and Care Cascade (SAIA-PEDS) study (PI: Dr. Kenneth Sherr) and the HIV Assisted Partner Notification Service (aPS) scale-up study (PI: Dr. Carey Farquhar), of which this presentation is a part. |
