The Global Business Law Institute welcomes Jeannine D’Amico Lemker of Microsoft where she is an Assistant General Counsel in the Office of Legal Compliance for a presentation on international business compliance. Compliance is a fast-growing field of law. Compliance is the process through which companies manage their legal risk and ensure that they meet their legal obligations. For companies operating in multiple countries, compliance poses distinct problems as they must determine and fulfill their legal obligations in each country in which they do business. Winter quarter, Jeannine will be a guest lecturer in a new joint law and business course, LAW E505/FIN 579 International Business Compliance, open to law and MBA students. The course will also feature lecturers from the Foster School of Business and local companies including Amazon, Boeing, and PACCAR.
